These Florida Building Code
approved hurricane storm panels are
much lighter and easier to install than
heavy sheets of plywood.. The panels
are custom cut for you to fit your homes
windows and sliding glass doors. The
panels are designed so they slide easily
into a " h" header track which you fasten
above your windows or sliding glass
doors, and a studded angle or " f " track
which you fasten below the bottom of
the opening. The hurricane panels are
secured in place to the bottom tracks
with washer based wingnuts. The " h "
header once installed above your
openings will save you time and effort
when you need hurricane protection.
You will not need a ladder for openings
where you can reach the bottom of the
opening while standing on the ground.

The top and bottom hurricane tracks
components are cut to lengths that are
required for mounting the number of
hurricane panels that are needed by your
windows and sliding glass doors. To
save you hours of time and effort the
hurricane panel tracks are pre-drilled
and come complete with the mounting
hardware, drill bits and drivers you need
for proper installation of your panels.

Hurricane panel shutters can be
mounted horizontally on windows where
there is there is a projection at the
bottom of the opening such as a window
sill, a pass through window shelf or other
protruding obstacle. Horizontal mounting
of panels can be accomplished by
fastening a studded angle to each side of
the opening and securing the hurricane
panels in place with wide based
wingnuts. Panels can also be mounted
horizontally using direct mount hardware.
